Unveiling Patterns: A Journey Through Vibration and Intention
On the illusion of “should,” imagined friction, and the simplicity of what is
Most of us spend our lives in a quiet argument with reality.
There’s a subtle hum inside that whispers:
This isn’t quite right. This moment isn’t how it should be.
And the strange thing is, we rarely know what the “right” version would even look like, only that this one isn’t it.
Over the years, I began to see something simple but deeply freeing:
What is is never the problem.
It’s always what the mind thinks about what is.
For most of my life, there wasn’t a single moment that felt truly okay.
Not because life was failing me, but because thought was constantly narrating how things shouldn’t be.
I was exceptionally skilled at pointing out the wrongness of things -
not so gifted in imagining how they should be instead.
I believed this body, this personal identity, was the center of the universe.
To my astonishment, I eventually realized: it wasn’t the center of your universe.
You had your own little human body to worry about, or be proud of, or be frustrated with - whatever the story happened to be.
And underneath all of that?
Something shared.
“What we really do is resonate - that’s what the jello is, that’s what the love is.”
When I come into a room, something shifts.
Not because of “me,” but because of the vibration of being itself.
There’s a felt resonance that moves through the apparent many - even though, in truth, there is only one.
This is the paradox of non-duality:
In truth, nothing exists as separate -
and yet here, in appearance, everything seems separate.
And isn’t it wonderful that life shows up this way?
Our conditioning and personal history add texture to that appearance.
“It’s patterns - the patterns of people, of atmosphere, even geography.”
When I lived in Oregon and would fly back to the South, I could feel the shift the moment I arrived.
A different mental and spiritual orientation.
Not better or worse, just different.
Patterns living themselves.
But the resonance underneath those patterns never changes.
The vibration of being - the presence we share - doesn’t come from a person.
It doesn’t come from a body.
It isn’t “mine” or “yours.”
It’s simply what is.
And what is, in its simplicity, has never once been the problem.
Only the mind’s imagined “should” creates friction.
When we stop insisting that life line up with the mind’s demands,
when the hum of resistance quiets,
we begin to feel what has always been here:
The resonance, the stillness,
the uncomplicated presence of being.
