Oneness Equals One
On the Math of One
Let me ask you something.
Can oneness find anything other than oneness?
Is there anything above it?
Below it?
To the left or right of it?
There can’t be.
So this — whatever is happening — has to be oneness.
And then the strange thing:
We talk about oneness for years.
But without noticing it, we replace it with something else.
We replace it with sameness.
We imagine that oneness should look one way.
Peaceful.
Still.
Uniform.
But oneness looks like this.
And this.
And this.
All of it.
Different shapes, different expressions — but not different things.
Oneness has no shape of its own.
No center.
There isn’t some “oneness” sitting in the middle of everything.
There are only expressions.
And still, the question comes:
“How do I stay here?”
Who’s talking?
Oneness isn’t asking how to remain oneness.
This is the oneness experience.
Always.
This is the math of one.
And it’s very simple:
One equals one.
There isn’t:
One
plus something that can discover one.
There’s nothing outside of it that could understand it.
It can’t be figured out.
The mind can’t hold it.
It can only behold it.
And yet, there’s still a sense of something.
A sense of a person.
A sense of “me.”
But let’s look at that.
Does the sense of something
prove the truth of something?
Imagine someone tells you:
“There’s a dog in your yard.”
You look.
No dog.
You walk closer.
Still no dog.
You search the whole yard.
Nothing.
And then they say:
“Oh, it’s not a real dog.
It’s a sense of a dog.”
Is that the same thing as a dog?
In the same way:
There may be a sense of a self.
But is there actually one there?
We assume there’s something inside the body.
A center.
A real “me.”
But is that true?
Or is it just a sense?
Only oneness can contain the body.
Not the other way around.
And that oneness goes by many names.
One of them is consciousness.
So the idea that:
“I will wake up”
doesn’t quite hold.
Because there is no separate “I” to wake up.
What actually happens is simpler:
Oneness recognizes itself.
And still people say:
“I understand this…
it’s just not my experience.”
But that has it backwards.
This is your experience.
Always.
You just didn’t recognize it.
